SELC in Virginia

SELC in Virginia

From the Chesapeake Bay to the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia is known for its special places and abundant natural resources. Virginia has more acres of Southern Appalachian National forestland than any other state in our region - but rollbacks at the federal level are leaving the state's forests open to wide-scale logging and road building.

SELC has a history of success in protecting Virginia's environment. Our Virginia conservation team includes nine attorneys focusing all or part of their time on the conservation needs of this state. We serve Virginia from our Regional Headquarters in Charlottesville, VA.
